The Hairdresser’s Skepticism
The woman excitedly shared her upcoming trip to Rome with her hairdresser. However, the hairdresser responded skeptically:“Rome? Why would anyone want to go there? It’s crowded and dirty. You’re out of control to go to Rome. So, how are you getting there?”
The woman confidently replied, “We’re taking BA. We got a great rate!”
The hairdresser scoffed at BA, calling it a terrible airline with old planes, unattractive flight attendants, and perpetual lateness. She then inquired about the woman’s accommodation in Rome.
The Exclusive Hotel and Vatican Visit
The woman revealed that they would be staying at an exclusive place called Teste on Rome’s Tiber River.
The hairdresser dismissed it as overhyped, claiming it was actually a dump.
Undeterred, the woman mentioned their plan to visit the Vatican and perhaps see the Pope.
The hairdresser laughed, saying that countless others would be trying to catch a glimpse of the Pope, making him appear tiny.
Unexpected Luxury and a Papal Encounter
A month later, the woman returned to the salon after her Rome trip.
She excitedly shared her experience: BA’s brand-new plane, an upgrade to first class due to overbooking, delicious food and wine, and attentive service from a handsome steward.
The hotel, recently remodeled at a cost of £5 million, exceeded expectations.
The hotel staff even apologized for overbooking and upgraded them to the owner’s suite at no extra charge.
The hairdresser, still skeptical, asked if she had seen the Pope.
To everyone’s surprise, the woman had a personal encounter with the Pope during a Vatican tour.
A Swiss Guard escorted her to a private room, where the Pope greeted her personally.
When asked what the Pope said, she replied, “Who the F*** did your hair?”
